Behind the Scenes — Practices for 2009 Roadshow (Newton-Conover Ward, NC)
The young men and young women of the Newton-Conover Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints present their 2009 Roadshow (short play). In a "Bill and Ted" like adventure, early morning seminary students come to understand that the Book of Mormon was meant for their day.
This is a "behind the scenes" look at two practices leading up to the main performance.

Pig Race at Startown Elementary School, N.C. Jan. 2005
Students at Startown Elementary in N.C. were awarded fuzzy, mechanical pigs as prizes in a school funding-raising project. A race was then held of all the students' pigs -- the winner would receive a $100 prize. This is the story of Squealer, Laura's pig, which was altered by Laura's brother so that it would race faster. The rest is history.
